Campus and Region

A visit to Elms College is so much more than a walk around campus, even though that is more than enough to make you want to stay. We have embraced the region we call home and consider the vibrant Pioneer Valley a part of the Elms experience and an extension of our own campus. Because of this, there is literally something for everyone when you visit us!

Our 25- acre campus is located in Chicopee, Massachusetts, a small suburban town about two miles north of downtown Springfield, in the historic Pioneer Valley. The nearby junction of Interstate 90, also known as the Mass Pike, and Interstate 91 provides access from all directions and makes travelling to Boston, New York City, and Hartford very easy. If you are more inclined to travel by airplane or bus to get here, [Bradley International Airport] is 30 minutes away, and nearby Springfield is the headquarters for [Peter Pan] bus lines.

The Basketball Hall of Fame is 10 minutes from campus and will keep the sports nut in the family busy for hours. Thrill-seekers will enjoy the roller coasters at Six Flags New England, which is less than 30 minutes down Interstate 91. Hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, and countless other outdoor activities are just an hour away, as is a wonderful art scene that exists throughout the Pioneer Valley and is grounded in Northampton. We are also located in close proximity to Amherst, Massachusetts, the town of the storied Five Colleges: University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Hampshire, Amherst, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges.

Education is our number one priority at Elms College, but when it is time to unwind and destress, there are ample opportunities for students, families, and friends to take advantage of that just a short drive, or walk, away.
