Accounting

Do you know what it feels like to beat financial professionals at their own game? Students from our accounting program know exactly how that feels. A team from Elms College took second place at a recent regional Stock Market Challenge and have placed in the top five every year since the event began, thanks to the preparation of Elms' accounting program and its faculty.

Our program brings the real world to you and offers all the advantages of a small college with opportunities normally found only at large universities. Through the program's network of regional and national accounting firms, our students complete internships with CPAs and Big Four accounting firms, and often find employment — even before graduation.

We prepare our graduates to successfully complete professional licensure exams, such as the certified public accounting and certified management accounting exams. By combining our accounting and business courses with our liberal arts core, you will develop strong communication and writing skills that will make you more attractive to employers.

Graduates from our program have a solid record of starting their careers with the Big Four accounting firms — Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and KPMG. Our graduates also find jobs with colleges and universities, hospitals, nonprofits, government, and other organizations.
