Master of Science in Nursing
Our master of science degree in nursing (M.S.N.) builds on baccalaureate nursing education to prepare graduates for advanced nursing roles, and serves as a foundation for doctoral study.
The program gives nurses the knowledge and skills they need to function in a rapidly changing environment that demands new and innovative approaches to nursing, healthcare delivery, management, and education.
We offer two concentrations: nursing and healthcare leadership, and nursing education. You can choose either or both of them. An RN-BS-MSN track is also available.
Faculty from our Divisions of Nursing, Business and Law, and Education teach the interdisciplinary M.S.N. program.
Nursing and Healthcare Leadership
This track prepares you for managerial and leadership positions in such areas as acute care, long-term care, home care, health information, quality improvement, consulting, and political or legislative environments.
Nursing Education
This track prepares you for faculty and nurse educator positions in collegiate and practice settings.
Certificate Programs
Bachelor's- or master's-prepared nurses can earn a certificate to enhance their experience as managers or educators. These credits are transferable to an M.S.N. degree if you matriculate within two years of completion.
