A Safe Place to Turn
College is a time of unmatched personal growth and change, and dealing with the emotional and psychological impacts of those changes is something we can assist with. Our mission is simple: to guarantee that our students always have a welcoming, safe place to turn.
The counseling center provides a wide variety of counseling services, without charge and under strict confidentiality standards, to full-time students at Elms College for a variety of personal concerns.
Some commonly addressed issues are:
- feelings of loneliness and depression
- anxiety and stress
- relationship conflict
- eating disorders and body image
- changes in academic performance
- alcohol and substance abuse
- trauma
- suicidal thoughts
- family problems
- grief and loss
- parenting issues
- transitional concerns (homesickness, graduation)
