Asian Studies

The 18-credit minor in Asian studies enables you to further your knowledge of this important region of the world through the study of language, culture, history, and religion.

This interdisciplinary minor provides a foundation for students to explore issues in areas such as politics, business, and education through a more global perspective, making it an ideal compliment to either a professional or liberal arts major.

You can focus your study on either China or Japan, and participate in study abroad opportunities in either country, where you will be able to apply what you learn in real-life situations.

Elms College is the only member of the Cooperating Colleges of Greater Springfield to offer an Asian studies minor.
