Division of Nursing
For more than 30 years, our nursing program has been a gateway to dynamic careers in cardiac care, emergency rooms, pediatric care, critical care, geriatrics, community health, and family nursing. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the growth in new registered nursing jobs will reach 587,000 by 2016 — a 23 percent increase in opportunities. Elms offers a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and an RN-to-BS degree completion program.
Nursing presents an array of career choices and specialties with flexible work schedules and mobility. Regardless of the setting, nurses play a valuable role as caregivers to their patients and families, and as leaders in their communities and the rapidly changing healthcare field. A baccalaureate degree in nursing is the first step in practicing and advancing in this rewarding profession.
Elms College nursing graduates are widely sought-after throughout the western Massachusetts healthcare systems. The program is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registered Nursing and accredited by the Collegiate Commission for Nursing Education.
