Make Immediate Connections with Faculty and Classmates

When you start college, everything is new and different. Right from the first day, we help you meet other students, connect with a faculty member who can help you adjust, and find your way.

In our first-year seminars, we work with you to help you start on the path to discovery. Your instructor becomes your guide and mentor. Together, you explore a topic and search for questions and resolutions. Your instructor encourages you to become an active member of the Elms College community and advise you as you develop your academic program to cultivate a lively atmosphere that encourages diverse perspectives and the free exchange of ideas.

The 2009-2010 academic year first year seminars place special emphasis on the environment, and explore the theme, "Earth: Our Planet, Our Home."
