Graduate Programs

We offer graduate programs in autism spectrum disorders, communication sciences and disorders, education, nursing, and applied theology.

You can take courses during the day or evening, over the weekend, on campus, or online. You can find the help you need to choose an option that's right for you and, with your faculty advisor, evaluate your progress and prepare for the next steps in your education or career.


Graduate Programs of Study

Graduate Programs in Applied Theology

Our programs are for religious educators, pastoral ministers, and other outreach service personnel who want to explore the major disciplines of theology to create a solid knowledge base for understanding the nature of church life and practice. Our graduates work as lay pastoral associates, directors of religious education, with Catholic Charities or other social justice agencies, and in other important ministries at the diocesan and parish levels.

Master of Science or Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Autism Spectrum Disorders

Elms College, in partnership with the River Street Autism Program at Coltsville in Hartford, Connecticut, has created one of the first master's programs in autism spectrum disorders in the nation. It is the only autism program in New England offering clinical practica working directly with children with autism.

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Communication Sciences and Disorders

Our certificate of advanced graduate study can help you fulfill requirements for licensure or certification, stay current in this rapidly changing profession, develop new skills, expand your knowledge in a specialized area, or earn post-master’s credit that may be required to receive salary increments.

Graduate Programs in Education

Our graduate programs hone your skills and build upon your experience by exploring such teaching methods as discovery learning, concept attainment, modeling, case studies, and role playing to help you get ahead.

Master of Science in Nursing

The M.S.N. builds on baccalaureate nursing education to prepare graduates for advanced nursing roles, and serves as a foundation for doctoral study.
