Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Communication Sciences and Disorders

Our 30-credit certificate of advanced graduate study (C.A.G.S.) in communication sciences and disorders (CSD) is for people who already have a master's degree in speech-language pathology, audiology, special education, educational psychology, or education of the deaf or hard-of-hearing.

The C.A.G.S. can help you fulfill continuing education course requirements for licensure or certification, stay current in this rapidly changing profession, develop new skills, expand your knowledge in a specific area of professional interest, or earn post-master’s credit that may be required to receive salary increments.

You and your advisor will work together to choose courses that fulfill program requirements. All students are required to complete nine credits of core courses in CSD and education, and then choose to concentrate study in auditory disorders, autism spectrum disorders, child disorders, literacy and literacy disorders, and management.
