The Maguire Center

The Maguire Center for Health, Fitness, and Athletics opened in the fall of 1994. Facilities include a 25-meter swimming pool, basketball court, aerobic and weight training area, and suspended indoor track. It also houses the Health Center and Counseling Center.

The building was named in honor of Bishop Joseph F. Maguire, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Springfield, who was an avid supporter of athletics at Elms College.
