Dining Services
Meals at school should be more than just a quick snack you inhale between classes. Our meals and spacious community dining hall are a great way to relax, hang out with friends and recharge.
Here at Elms College you can join up with one of the tastiest dining programs around. Quality, variety, and flexibility allow you to tailor your meal plan to your busy schedule. We keep up with the ever changing trends in dining, offering you traditional American cusine, ethnic dishes, low fat and low carb options, local produce and even five-star meals, all right here on campus.
In order to ensure that our meals taste good and are nutritious, we purchase as many locally grown ingredients and products as possible. In this part of western Massachusetts, there is plenty of opportunity for us to support smal farmers, family-run businesses and the environment by buying local.

We also offer various calzones sometimes.
Home Zone
The Home Zone station is perfect for those days when you are craving something a little more like mom used to make. This station is all about home cooking and comfort foods. It will usually feature a dish such as barbeque brisket, meatloaf, fried or baked chicken, baked ham, turkey, or pork loin. The station has one main entree, a starch side, a vegetable side, and a vegetarian entree. The station is on a 3 week cycle menu and the food changes from day to day and from lunch to dinner.
World's Fare
The world's fare station is also on a 3 week cycle menu. It, like it's name says, is different foods from around the world and will vary from pasta sautes, to stir frys, to mexican, to salads, to breakfast at night, etc. The entree can usually be made in vegetarian form.
Late Night Dining
Late night dining is the grill menu.
We also offer monthly specials, host guest chefs from around the region or even hand picked from among the faculty and staff, include creative seasonally festive dishes around the holidays, and cater special events on campus.
Meal Plans and Blazer Dollars
All residents are required to participate in the Standard Plan. You are automatically signed up for this plan each semester. The Standard Meal Plan is one of the most flexible and innovative meals plans available. It works on a declining balance points system. Menus in our facility are priced on an individual basis. You use your plan to purchase complete meals or a quick snack whenever you want.
Commuter students can also sign up for a meal plan that is affordable, effortless and reliable. The Commuter/Add On block plans allow students to use their ID cards like a debit card. An initial deposit of $150 earns students 50 points and an additional 10 points free. To put it in perspective, an entire meal, breakfast lunch or dinner, usually costs between 1 and 2 points. You can add more points, treat friends to a meal on your plan, and even carry points over from the fall semester to the spring.
Aramark, our food service vendor, provides all students with the opportunity to purchase Blazer Dollars to be used to purchase food in the dining hall or the snack bar. Every time you use the Blazer Dollar system, money will be deducted from your student ID card, so you do not need to carry cash. In addition, you will receive a small discount towards the purchase of your food. To purchase Blazer Dollars, simply stop by the cashier station during business hours.
