Please make all checks and money orders payable to Elms College.

Matching Gifts

Many businesses and corporations match the gifts made by employees, retirees, and family members. To obtain information about your company's matching gift program, please contact your personnel office.

You must either send the company's matching gift form to Elms College along with your gift, or complete your company's online form as you are sending your contribution to Elms in order for your company to match your gift.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts require forethought and long-term cooperation with Elms College. Some examples of this type of gift are bequests, naming Elms College as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy, annuities and trusts, and IRA.

Visit our planned giving pages to explore ways in which you might choose to make a planned gift to the benefit of your loved ones and to also include Elms College.

You can also call us at 413-594-6123 to learn more.

Personal Property

Gifts of personal property include capital assets, such as art objects, rare books, or equipment. These can be given to the college for educational purposes. Responsibility for appraisal rests with the donor. Elms College has discretion to sell or retain the items.

Donors may also consider giving real estate. Real estate can be given to the college outright or transferred in a bargain sale, upon discussion, review, and approval of the transaction. Some donors may be eligible to contribute real estate to the college and reserve the right to occupy the property in their lifetime.

Securities

These gifts may include stocks, mutual funds, or bonds. Donations are credited at fair market value on the date of transfer to the college.

Please contact Liz Rich at 413-265-2403 or riche@elms.edu to share information on the type of transfer and designation, as well as to exchange broker information.
