Elms College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Accreditation by the N.E.A.S.C. indicates that the institution has been carefully evaluated and found to meet standards agreed upon by qualified educators.

The social work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The nursing program has accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the Massachusetts Board of Registration for Nursing.

The paralegal program is approved by the American Bar Association.

Elms College has received specialized accreditation for its business and business-related programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), Olathe, Kansas. The college is also approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education; by theRegents of the University of New York; and by the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association.
