Graduation Requirements
To complete a graduate program of studies in education,
the candidate must
maintain a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. Credit requirements for
programs linked with
teacher licensure will consist of a range that reflects
state licensure standards.
All requirements for the program must be met within
six years of matriculation.
The degree or certificate will be awarded at the May
commencement
following completion of the requirements. Other graduation
dates for
completed programs occur in August and December. In
order to qualify for an
M.A.T./M.Ed. degree or a C.A.G.S. – Ed., a student
must:
- Comply with entrance requirements
and be formally accepted
- Complete the required number of
credits for the degree or certificate
sought and all other program requirements
- Maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of
3.0 (B) with no more than two grades of C (2.0) permitted
- Complete the minimum appropriate
number of credits for each program
at Elms College; no more than nine (9) transfer
credits are allowed
- Complete an “application
for degree” form
or an “application for certificate” form,
which will be filed in the Registrar’s
Office no later than
October 1 prior to May graduation.
