Minor in Business and Law

Students in both business and law programs can enhance their degrees through earning a minor in business and law.
This 18-credit minor is designed for students who are interested in developing their knowledge in both business and law and is open to all majors.

For more information, contact:
Marybeth Delisi

Paralegal and legal studies students build upon a solid foundation of legal and business coursework and then enlarge their knowledge of the business world through two additional courses selected from the business course offerings.

Likewise, business students complete the core of legal and business coursework and then enhance their knowledge of the legal system by selecting two additional law classes. Students from outside the Division of Business and Law may also qualify for this minor by completing the required core coursework and then selecting one additional law and one additional business course.

Note: The purpose of this certificate is to develop students’ knowledge of business and law, not to prepare students for work as a paralegal. Therefore, the Joint Certificate in Business and Law is not ABA-approved. Students wishing to gain preparation to work as a paralegal should complete the 27-credit ABA-approved Certificate in Advanced Paralegal Studies.
