Division of Business and Law
The mission of the Division of Business and Law is to develop and educate students for the global business and legal community in the 21st century.
Throughout the division course offerings, emphasis is placed on thinking critically, solving problems, and communicating effectively. Computer use is integrated into all areas of the curriculum.
The division encourages students to become aware of widened career options, intellectual curiosity, and a rich sense of self.
Elms College graduates respond enthusiastically to the challenges of leadership roles.

The Division of Business and Law includes the Department of Business and the Paralegal and Legal Studies Department.

  • The Business programs provide a comprehensive educational opportunity for students to explore and develop a fundamental understanding and competency in a professional business career track that is enriched by a broad international perspective. The programs foster an understanding of the challenges of the business professional.
  • The Legal programs prepare students to continue their education in graduate or law school or immediately upon graduation to enter the workplace as a paralegal. Paralegals contribute to the legal system by enhancing the quality of legal services and by working to increase access to justice. All program options offered within the Department of Paralegal and Legal Studies are ABA approved.
  • Students in both the business and law programs can enhance their degrees through earning a Minor in Business and Law.
  • A required internship is an integral part of the learning experience. Through the internship, students are able to take their classroom learning and apply it in the work environment.
