Massachusetts Test For Educator
Licensure (M.T.E.L.)


It is a challenging and exciting time for students to be entering the field of education. The development of the curriculum frameworks in Massachusetts and their implementation in schools has been the source of many lively discussions. The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (M.C.A.S.) results statewide have focused the eyes of Massachussetts' citizens on the vitality of schools and what they will be in the twenty-first century. Prepartion for and attention to the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (M.T.E.L.) have taken center stage.

Massachusetts Tests For Educator Licensure (M.T.E.L.) Results
In agreement with the U.S. Department of Education Title II guidelines, Elms College Education Department reports the following pass rates of the 2006-2007 (most recent) Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (M.T.E.L.):

*If fewer than 10 candidates take a test, score reports are not provided in order
to protect confidentiality. For additional information and a full report, please
contact the Education Department.
* Colleges/universities submitting fewer than ten program completers from any field do not receive pass/fail score results for that field. Colleges/universities aggregate the pass/fail status of test-takers in specific fields over multiple years until the number of completers who take tests reaches ten.
