Double Major in Legal Studies and Spanish

The double major in legal studies and Spanish at Elms College uniquely allows students to combine language and cultural proficiency with an understanding of the legal system.

This double major is designed for those students who wish to pursue a career within the legal system in an area where they can work to effect change and further justice, and in which there are almost limitless job opportunities.

Through this double major, students will:

  • develop their Spanish language skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • deepen their cultural understanding through language, cultural, and literature courses
  • earn the ABA-approved certificate of advanced paralegal studies.
  • participate in an internship that allows them to apply their language proficiency and legal knowledge in a real-life context.
