Computer Information Technology

The Department of Computer Information Technology provides students with a diverse yet thorough exploration of software application development and new media technologies.
Students who complete this program will be prepared for career opportunities in the field, as well as have the necessary skills that would allow them to further their education by looking to graduate studies.
Small class sizes and individual attention from the faculty create an optimal learning environment.
Our computer facilities are constantly updated and enhanced in order to accommodate the expansive reality of the computer information technology field.

 
 

CIT Mission Statement

  • educate those individuals who see the emergence of computer fields as exciting and challenging.

Major Requirements:

  • All 5 general course requirements (15 credits)

  • Six courses (including one capstone) in either the Design or the IT track. (18 credits)

  • Two CIT Elective Courses. (6 credits)

  • An internship is mandatory (3 credits)

    Total Credits = 42

Minor Requirements:

  • All 5 general course requirements (15 credits)

  • Three courses (including one 300 level) in either the Design or the IT track. (9 credits)

  • One CIT Elective Course. (3 credits)

    Total Credits = 27
