Elms' coaching minor provides opportunities for you to explore different coaching styles so you can lead athletes in all domains of learning - cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. You will learn everything from planning tryouts to motivational techniques to promoting your team.

Why Study Coaching at Elms College?

Elms' coaching minor provides opportunities for you to explore different coaching styles so you can lead athletes in all domains of learning - cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. You will learn everything from planning tryouts to motivational techniques to promoting your team.

The capstone experience for the minor is a three-credit internship, during which you work with a mentor coach over an entire sport season.

What Can You Do With a Coaching Degree?

Students who have completed the minor coach teams in a variety of sports, including volleyball, field hockey, soccer, basketball, softball, and lacrosse.
