Take Classes Online to Prepare for a Career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Elms College now offers a dynamic online course sequence for students who want to become speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs).
The SLPA profession is a growing field, with employment opportunities in preschool and school settings. SLPAs work under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist, providing screening and treatment services to individuals with communication disorders.
Elms offers an online study program. There are two- and three-year completion tracks.
- A 33-credit SLPA certificate program
In addition, interested individuals may enroll in up to nine (9) credits of SLPA coursework through Elms College prior to applying.
Individuals who are interested in taking our SLPA online courses, but who are not yet ready to fully commit to applying may complete up to nine (9) credits of coursework prior to applying. Beginning in fall 2013, all MA applicants for the online SLPA certificate will be required to hold an undergraduate degree prior to entering the SLPA online certificate program.
