Why Study Legal Studies at Elms College?
The legal studies program is designed to develop an understanding of the legal profession and its ethical obligations, critical thinking skills, and research skills. Students visit area state and federal courthouses and listen to guest speakers, such as the Honorable Massachusetts Supreme Court Justice John Greaney and David Barry, General Consulate of Ireland.
Katherine Currier J.D., professor of paralegal and legal studies, is a nationally known leader in paralegal education and the author of three leading textbooks, including Introduction to Law for Paralegals: A Critical Thinking Approach.Beyond their classroom time, our students also practice their legal skills in the courtroom.
What Can You Do With a Legal Studies Degree?
