The study of sociology can give you valuable insights about human relationships, society, and cultural norms and values.
Elms College's sociology program helps you develop an objective view on social relationships, introduces research methods, and leads to a deeper understanding of current social problems. Our program prepares you to solve problems in your community with an understanding of social behavior.
The general view of society our program teaches you opens up a world of opportunity upon graduation, based on your goals and interests. Graduates of our program have taken positions in law enforcement and corrections, school and university administration, social work, and local government agencies, to name a few. Many of our students have gone on to graduate school as well.
We are a private Catholic coeducational liberal arts college founded in 1928 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield, Massachusetts. Elms College is located in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and grants associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
