On land and at sea, a compass will point you in the right direction. How do you choose a college major when you're not sure of your direction? The Compass Program at Elms College helps students without a declared major navigate their first year of college and find the right fit.
If you have been accepted into Elms College and have not declared a major, you will be enrolled in the program along with First Year Seminar, which is required for all first-year students. Throughout your first year, you will take part in exploratory activities that give you a closer look at our majors and the career paths to which they could lead.
You will get a chance to talk to students and professors from other majors, talk to an advisor about your strengths, skills, and interests, and get feedback from your peers about talents you have that you might not see on your own.
