Applying to Elms College

You can mail in an application, or fill one out online. On our Apply page, you will find everything you need to complete your application.

We accept applications on a rolling basis, but application review begins in December and enrollment deposits for the fall semester are due by May 1. If you plan to apply for financial aid, make sure to submit your materials no later than March 1.

Preparing for College-Level Study

While we understand each state requires its own standards for high school graduation, we recommend this minimum course-load to ensure you're prepared for a college classroom:

  • 4 years of English
  • 3 year of Math (4 for nursing majors)
  • 3 years of laboratory science (4 years for nursing majors, including chemistry)
  • 3 years of history or social science
  • 2 years of the same foreign language

If you have taken AP courses, make sure to submit your AP exam scores directly from the testing agency to Elms College. Typically scores of "3" or better are awarded college credit.  If you have taken college courses through a dual enrollment program or during the summer, submit an official transcript to Elms College. Courses that are 100 level or higher with a grade or C or better (C+ for nursing core courses) will be awarded credit.

Home Schooled Students

Home schooled students transition to Elms quite easily both academically and socially as we are a close-knit learning community. We encourage you to contact your admission counselor to determine what additional documenation, if any, we may need in order to complete your application to Elms College.
