The concentration in sport management builds upon the solid foundation of the management major,which focuses on the concepts and theories of solving organizational problems.
The sport management concentration prepares students for careers in all areas of the sport industry, including:

• high school
• collegiate and professional athletics
• sport clubs
• the sporting goods industry
• hotels
• resorts
• not-for-profit agencies

The location of Elms College in western Massachusetts offers many internship possibilities, including those with the Pioneers, the Falcons, and the Basketball Hall of Fame

Major in Management with a Concentration in Sport Management(Min. at Elms College: 27 Cr./Min. G.P.A.: 2.0)
Major Requirements: 62 credits

Business core courses-38 credits

Management courses –9 credits

Sport Concentration requirements-15 credits

Required courses that also satisfy college core requirements-6 credits

*Students wishing to combine the sport management concentration with a coaching minor should meet with their advisor to select two electives to complete their program of study.
