Undergraduate Options

O’Leary Hall

Built in 1922, O’Leary Hall is the oldest and one of the most famous buildings on campus. Available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, O’Leary provides varied architecture and unique living spaces. This hall houses up to 180 students with options for single, double, triple, and quad rooms on all four floors, with men living on the first floor and women living on the second, third, and fourth floors. Rooms include walk-in closets, large windows, and nine-foot ceilings. O’Leary has small gathering spaces on each floor plus two large common rooms on the first floor, each with a flat-screen TV. One of these common rooms, the Great Hall, is perfect for studying as well as holding large group events. Laundry facilities are located in the basement. There is one Resident Advisor (RA) per floor to help you connect with other students and get involved with clubs and events on campus.

Rose William Hall

Elms’ largest residence hall is Rose William Hall, and functions as our first year residence option as well as housing for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The foundation was laid in 1964, and this hall houses up to 180 students on three floors. There is one large common room on the first floor with a flat screen TV and places to rest and relax, as well as newly renovated kitchen facilities on each of the first, second, and third floors. Laundry facilities are located in the basement. These common spaces are open concept, giving the invitation to students to cook a homemade meal. Acoustic-minded flooring helps to ensure spaces remain at an acceptable level of noise. There are two resident advisors per floor as each floor is connected in the middle by two swipe-access doors. The middle sections between the doors of the second and third floors are gender neutral, but the rest of the living spaces are designated male only or female only.

Devine Hall

Devine Hall is Elms’ newest residence hall, open to juniors and seniors. There are two floors of single+ rooms (large rooms that have been converted into single rooms), a large patio on which you can watch varsity sports games, and an open concept lounge area in the basement with a flat screen TV, fully functional kitchen, laundry facilities, as well as study spaces. Conveniently located next to the Maguire Center, this residence hall is perfect for those who wish to live close to the athletic center so as to get an early morning workout or utilize the center’s resources to live and learn. There is one RA per floor for students to utilize as a resource to best live in the spirit of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
