Admission Criteria for Nursing Major
Minimum academic criteria for admission out of high school:

• Average 3.3 GPA or above; B+ equivalent
• Higher class ranking
• C+ or better in Chemistry
• C+ or better in Math and Sciences
• Combined SAT's of 900+

Admission Checklist for First Year Students
To apply for first-year admission, students should submit the following materials:

• Elms application for full-time undergraduate admission.
• $30 application fee.
• Official secondary school transcript of first three years plus first quarter grades of senior year, or official GED scores.
• SAT I or ACT scores. (Our College Board number is 3283.)
• Two letters of recommendation: one from a guidance counselor and one from a teacher.
• An interview with an Elms College admission counselor is recommended.

Nursing

Admission Criteria for Transfer Students
Minimum academic criteria for admission as a transfer:

• Overall GPA of 2.5 or better

To apply for transfer admission, students should submit the following materials:

• Elms application for full-time undergraduate admission.
• $30 application fee.
• Official transcripts from high school (or official GED scores.)
• Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
• One letter of recommendation. (preferably academic)
• An interview with the Elms College transfer counselor is required.

Students applying for transfer into the nursing program are evaluated on a case-by-case basis regarding their academic records and courses completed elsewhere.
