Interlibrary Loan

Need Research Material?

Place an Interlibrary Loan, for those requests that do not have direct access through the electronic database, using the form for  Books or Articles

There are many different ways to find research materials, starting looking using the steps below:

1. Start by checking in the Online Catalog to see if we here at Elms own the book, DVD, Audio CD, or Government Document.

   If you need any assistance with any of these items or a catalog search, please ask at the Circulation (main) desk.

2. If you have the journal citation, check the Journal Title List to see if we have the Elms has access to it.

  If you need any assistance in locating your research, please contact Michael Smith at the Reference Desk.

3. If you need to search for journal articles start by checking the Electronic Databases.

4. If you are still unable to find the specific material you need, either through the online catalog or the electronic databases, you may place an InterLibrary Loan (ILL) request for it.  FREE to you as a registered Elms Student or current faculty/staff member. You may request: 

  • Books
  • Audio/visual materials, when available
  • Microfilm or microfiche items
  • Photocopies of journal articles
  • Conference proceedings
  • Theses, dissertations, or reports
