To Access Electronic Databases
Information on how to access the Electronic Databases, both in the library and from home.

Call Numbers

InfoTrac Databases
Information on how to access the InfoTrac Databases, which includes Expanded Academic ASAP. Gives a list of all InfoTrac Databases.

Library Website
Information on how to access the library website, as well as what may be located on the site.

"My Account" - FirstSearch
Information on how to set up and access the "My Account" function in all OCLC FirstSearch electronic databases. Users may track Interlibrary loans requested from OCLC.

LC Classification
A listing of the Library of Congress Classification scheme used to catalog library materials. Shows the letter classification for each subject. Ex.: Nursing is letter "R"

Massachusetts Newsstand
Information on how to access the Massachusetts Newsstand Database. Gives a list of newspapers located in this database.

NewsBank Databases
Information on how to access the NewsBank Databases. Gives a list of databases.

NoodleBib Directions
Information on how to access and set up an account for NoodleBib. NoodleBib is a citation program that works with various formats (APA, MLA, Chicago). Each section is located on an individual page.

OCLC FirstSearch Databases
Information on how to access the OCLC FirstSearch Databases. Gives a list of all OCLC electronic databases.

Online Catalog
Information on how to access the Online Catalog from either the library or home. Gives directions on how to search, login, place holds, and renew materials.

OneSearch Federated Search
Information on what Federated Searching is, as well as directions on use, access, and e-mailing results.

Remote Databases
Information on what the remote electronic databases provide, as well as a full complete alphabetical list of all titles available.

Troubleshooting Remote Access
Information on trouble-shooting various problems with remote access to the electronic databases. Includes directions on changing cookies and javascript for various browsers.

Our new GoPrint system is now in effect in the Computer Labs and Computer Classrooms. This is part of the Elms College Information Technology Department's 'green' effort to greatly reduce paper and toner waste.
