Residence Halls Helpful Hints
Useful and recommended items:
ace bandage (athletes) pillows
alarm clock plastic shower caddy
antibiotic ointment portable ironing board
batteries power strip
bookends push pins  
blankets lquarters for laundry
clothes hangers radio
comforter refrigerator (1.7 cubic feet only)
dictionary/thesaurus   scotch tape
fan scissors
first aid kit sheets
flash light shower shoes (flip flops)
iron stamps
key chain stapler & staples
laundry basket stationery
aundry detergent/softener study and/or room lamp      
medical insurance card toiletries
notebooks/binders towels
office supplies/pens, paper, etc. wastepaper basket
pain reliever (Tylenol, etc.)  

Additional Information : 

  • For roomates: If you choose to split the cost of an item, please keep a record of what you paid for the item for your own reference.   
  • Window shades are provided.  Window measurements are 54"" x 72"" in Rose   William Hall.  The windows in O'Leary Hall vary, wait until you move in for the size.   
  • Beds are regular twin size in both residence halls.  
  • You will need  quarters for laundry ($1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry) and change for vending machines.     
  • A Student Handbook will be distributed when you arrive on campus in September containing additional information.   
  • Please note that push pins, nails, etc may not be used on the walls. We recommend that you purchase 3M Command strips and hooks to hang items.   


         
The following items are NOT permitted in the residence halls:      

  • Candles
  • incense
  • halogen lamps
  • microwave ovens
  • toasters       
  • washable wall paint
  • sun lamps
  • open heating coils
  • electric frying pans
  • air conditioners
  • anything that will permanently stick to walls, doors, windows, ceilings, etc.
