Scholarship Opportunities

The Elms Latino Nurse Scholars (ELNS) Initiative project is a scholarship and mentoring program funded by a Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.  With a goal to increase ethnic diversity in nursing , Elms encourages latinos and students from underrepresented, diverse backgrounds, entering the class of 2020 to apply to participate in the ELNS Initiative.

The grant-funded project will provide qualified and accepted students with academic, financial and social support as they move through their nursing undergraduate studies. Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2016 enrollment.

The ELNS Scholarship features:

  • First-year award: $3,125
  • Culturally sensitive mentoring
  • Targeted academic advising
  • Academic tutoring
