Students Spend Winter Break Helping Needy in Baltimore
Tuesday, January 8, 2013
While the rest of the student body enjoyed their winter break by spending time with family and friends, taking ski trips to the Berkshires, or returning that Christmas item that they never asked for, a group of five students traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to work with several Catholic Charities.
The students–Brandon Flynn, Laura Fusini, Juan Quintana, Addison Ray, and Katherine Rice–were chaperoned by Megan Kielty, director of student activities, and Elizabeth Jones, assistant director or residence life.
They spent the week working at a daycare center, a women's shelter, and a soup kitchen that serves approximately 700 people daily.
