Visiting Writers Series: Kocot and Boening

The 2016-2017 Visiting Writers Series, presented by The Blue House, will hold a reception and reading with two noted poets—Noelle Kocot and Justin Boening—on March 21.
Noelle Kocot’s seventh book of poems, Phantom Pains of Madness, was published by Wave Books in 2016. She is the poet laureate of Pemberton Borough, N.J.
Born in the Adirondacks, Justin Boening is the author of Not on the Very Last Day, But on the Very Last, winner of the National Poetry series. His chapbook, Self-Portrait as Missing Person, was selected by Dara Wier for a Poetry Society of America National Chapbook Fellowship. His poetry has received a “Discovery”/Boston Review Poetry Prize, and other awards and fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, Bucknell University, Vermont Studio Center, Summer Literary Seminars, and the St. Petersburg Review. He lives in Iowa, where he edits Horsethief Books.
The reception begins at 7 p.m. and the reading begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Blue House is located at the edge of campus, near the intersections of Springfield St. and Fairview Ave.
