  Campus Resourses
We provide the following services for our both full and part time students:
     
         
 
 

Parking
Every student bringing a vehicle on campus must have a parking sticker, which may be obtained in the dean of students office. Designated parking areas are listed on the parking rules sheet obtained with parking stickers. Cars parked illegally in any area will be ticketed.

Lockers
Commuter lockers are located on the lower floor of the Mary Dooley College Center, opposite the mailroom and near the bookstore. The dean of students office assigns lockers.

Dining Services
Aramark, our food service vendor, provides all students with the opportunity to purchase Blazer Dollars to be used to purchase food in the dining hall or the snack bar. Every time you use the Blazer Dollar system, money will be deducted from your student ID card, so you do not need to carry cash. In addition, you will receive a small discount towards the purchase of your food. To purchase Blazer Dollars, simply stop by the cashier station during business hours.
The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Fridays 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Weekends and Holidays 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 4:30-6:00 p.m. (open until 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evenings only).

Vending Machines
There are vending machines located in the lower level of Berchmans Hall, and the lower level of the Mary Dooley College Center.

Commuter Council
This group provides commuters with a forum for addressing concerns, networking, and building a sense of identity on campus.

Commuter Lounge
Located behind the dining room annex in the Mary Dooley College Center, the commuter lounge offers a place for students to study, meet, or just hang out.

Computing
There are three computer labs available for commuter students: on the first floor of the College Center, and on the second floor of Berchmans Hall, in room 208, and room 214. An Elms College student ID is required to use any of the computer labs.

 
 

Maguire Center
The Maguire Center for Health, Fitness and Athletics is available for use by students. Membership in the fitness center is available to part time students at a reduced rate of $175 per year, and includes use of the pool, aerobic and weight training area, suspended indoor track, plus step aerobics, muscle conditioning, water aerobics classes, and Cybex instruction.The Maguire Center is open Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M., and weekends 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Bookstore
The college bookstore, located on the lower level of the Mary Dooley College Center, sells textbooks, school supplies, paperbacks, toiletries, clothing, greeting cards, and novelties. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. The bookstore is open Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday evenings until 6:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

ATM
An ATM machine is located inside the main door of the Mary Dooley College Center.

Elms College Health Center
The Elms College Health Center is designated to assist students with health promotion activities and practices that contribute to life long wellness. Made up of Health Services and Counseling Services, and staff works together to provide a holistic approach to health maintenance. All full time students are entitled to use the Health Center regardless of insurance coverage, and part time students may use it in the event of an emergency. A registered nurse, a physician, and two counselors staff the Health Center. Referrals to other health care providers, laboratories, and radiology facilities are arranged as needed.

Campus Ministry
Located in the Mary Dooley College Center, the campus ministry staff provides spiritual support and community-building events. Part time students can participate in any of the campus ministry organized activities, or stop in the office and talk to Sr. Maureen Kervick, the director of campus ministry, about personal concerns.

Academic Resource Center
The resource center is located on the second floor of the Alumnae Library, this center provides tutoring services and advisement for all students who are placed on academic probation, as well as any student seeking to improve writing skills, study skills, and/or general academic proficiency. It is staffed by Sr. Ann Daly, the director of the center, and Sr. Eileen Murphy. You can reach them at 265-2376.

Career Center
The Career Center, located on the first floor of Berchmans Hall, supports the career planning needs of students and alumni. It provides a range of career development services including career exploration support, individual career counseling, job/graduate school planning workshops, and a comprehensive employment/graduate resource service center. The Career Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop-ins are encouraged; and appointments can be arranged by calling 265-2259 or via email at careers@elms.edu.
