Admission Requirements

Applicants to the undergraduate full-time nursing program (BS in Nursing) are evaluated by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Admission to Elms College, School of Nursing undergraduate nursing program is competitive.  Candidates have a recalculated GPA (on a 4.0 scale) of 3.0 and SAT score (combined math, critical reading and writing) of 1500 (with a minimum of 500 in each section) and 8 or higher essay score. 

The following college preparatory credentials are requirements for nursing candidates

  •  English – 4 years
  •  Mathematics – 4 years (Algebra I, II, and Geometry, Pre-Calculus/Calculus/Statistics) with a   grade of B or  higher
  •  Natural Science – 4 years (2 with a laboratory including Chemistry. Anatomy and Physiology is also  preferred) with a grade of B or higher
  •  History or Social Science – 3 years
  •  Foreign Language – 2 years of same language
