Working Together: It's The Elms Effect

I have been playing piano since fifth grade, and even though there wasn't a music minor when I started here, my music professor, Chris Bakriges, worked with me until the minor was added. That kind of commitment to students, especially those who show a passion for something, is common at Elms.

The music minor is one of Elms's best-kept secrets. Professor Bakriges is very accomplished, and a wonderful teacher of theory and performance. He performs regularly around the country, has produced several CDs, and his work has been published in music journals, yet he is able to teach students at all skill levels.
