“I chose Elms because it’s a small college with a great reputation.”

Growing Together: It's the Elms Effect

There's a strong sense of community on campus that comes from everyone getting to know one another.

Personally, I've come to know so many people in my major and in my class; the class of 2011. I love the people, and I've made friends for life here.

Academically, it couldn't be better. The faculty is one of Elms greatest strengths. I love taking all kinds of classes, not just those in my majors so I've received a well-rounded education.

I've wanted to go into education since I was very young. I just love teaching. My advisor was my first education professor who helped me plan so I could double major in education and Spanish. At Elms, I started observing in elementary classrooms my first semester - I don't think there is anywhere else that I could have done that! It was amazing to start right away and my observations have motivated me even more to be a teacher.

I've had so many opportunities here - you want to go to New York, Boston, go skiing or just chill on campus - they have great activities on campus - it's all possible at Elms.

I've tried so many new things and done so many things I had been hoping to do - I'm not sure it ever would have been possible if not for Elms College."

Elms is a small college with a big reputation. And while students come to Elms College for its reputation, they stay because Elms delivers!
