Regina Noonan Hitchery ’71
An Elms alumna and recipient of its Distinguished Alumna Award, Regina’s business career spanned 37 years including United Technologies Corporation, Invensys plc and Alcoa,Inc. She retired as vice president, human resources for Alcoa responsible for 97,000 employees in 34 countries. Over her career she developed expertise in recruitment, industrial relations, compensation, and leadership development. Regina traveled extensively in her positions. She and her family were based in Paris and London as well as many United States locations. In addition to her Elms College BA in English and an Elms honorary doctorate of laws, Regina holds an MA in Anglo Irish Studies from University College Dublin, an MS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MA in Psychology from Connecticut College. Active in the community throughout her life, currently she serves on Elms’ Board of Trustees and City Year New York’s Advisory Board.
