After working for 35 years in the Holyoke and Springfield MA public schools as a foreign language teacher, Nancy spent 6 years teaching at the former Cathedral High School in Springfield, now the Pope Francis Preparatory School. Her love of language led to her involvement in state, national and international conferences where she presented on topics including the role of music in the classroom.
In addition to her teaching duties, she also led multiple trips for students and staff to Broadway theater productions and abroad to enrich learning.
She worked several summers at the Elms teaching English to students from China, and was an instructor in a Haitian Institute held on the Elms campus. That led to her writing tutor responsibilities in 2015.
She is most proud of her family, including her husband Jack and 3 adult sons.
