AGACNP Post-Graduate Certificate
The Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Post-Graduate Certificate is open to registered nurses with a master’s or doctoral degree and national nurse practitioner certification and licensure in another specialty. The program ranges from 12 to 32 credit-hours, based on a Gap Analysis* and can be completed in roughly 12 months.
Completion enables eligibility for certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
Students completing the post-master’s certificate may continue their education in the Health Systems Innovation and Leadership track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, leading to a doctoral degree. Our students benefit from personalized faculty attention and join classmates who also have diverse backgrounds that enrich learning.
*Gap Analysis for Individualized Course of Study
In accordance with the 2016 Criteria for Evaluation of Nurse Practitioner Programs, a Gap Analysis is conducted for each applicant, based on prior education and certification, as well as academic didactic and clinical needs, to determine their specific course of study.
