FNP Post-Graduate Certificate
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Post-Graduate Certificate is open to registered nurses with a master’s or doctoral degree and national nurse practitioner certification and licensure in another specialty. The program ranges from 12 to 32 credit-hours, based on a Gap Analysis* and can be completed in roughly 12 months.
Completion enables eligibility for certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
Students completing the post-master’s certificate may continue their education in the Health Systems Innovation and Leadership track of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, leading to a doctoral degree. Our students benefit from personalized faculty attention and join classmates who also have diverse backgrounds that enrich learning.
*Gap Analysis for Individualized Course of Study
In accordance with the 2016 Criteria for Evaluation of Nurse Practitioner Programs, a Gap Analysis is conducted for each applicant, based on prior education and certification, as well as academic didactic and clinical needs, to determine their specific course of study.
