Program Focus: First Year Experience (FYE)
Ariana Pierre ’27 found a strong sense of community and purpose through the First Year Experience (FYE) Program at Elms College. 💚
The program gives incoming students the opportunity to move in early, connect with classmates and members of the Elms community, participate in local service projects, and adjust to campus life before the academic year begins.
For Ari, the experience became much more than just a smooth transition to college, it helped shape her future goals. After seeing the impact of efforts to fight food insecurity in Chicopee, she realized she wanted to pursue Social Work and make a difference in her own community.
Through FYE, Ari discovered not only a new home at Elms, but also a passion for helping others.
