    As Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Dunton is responsible for the planning, oversight, and administration of academic affairs. In addition, manages curriculum research and budget reviews; directs and coordinates master planning for institutional programs and academic personnel, along with evaluating academic programs and policies; oversees the management of the academic budget along with developing and maintaining yearly budget plans. With more than 30 years of higher education experience, retiring as President of Concord Community College, Dr. Dunton provides strong academic leadership working collaboratively with Deans, faculty and administration to establish a strong vision for the Division of Academic Affairs in support of the College’s mission. This includes supervising academic divisions and all college accreditation. Dr. Dunton received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT.

  • Jennifer L. Granger Sullivan, Ed.D.

    Jennifer L. Granger Sullivan, Ed.D. is the Director of the Dolores Donlin Noonan ’39 Experiential Learning Program at Elms College, where she has been working to coordinate, expand and enhance opportunities for community engagement since Fall 2021. She is also the Co-Director of the First Year Seminar and serves as an instructor for one of the sections. Jennifer is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at Salem State University, teaching in their Higher Education in Student Affairs graduate program. Previously, as Director of Student Activities and Orientation at Lasell University, she taught a First Year Seminar course on leadership, and grew the Office of Student Activities and Orientation that focused on student leadership development, new student, transfer, and family orientation programming, student clubs and organization, and campus activities and traditions. Jennifer also served as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Lasell University. She was awarded the Lasell University Thomas E.J. de Witt Award for Excellence in Educational Leadership in 2012. Jennifer has a doctorate in higher education administration from Northeastern University, a Master in Education with a focus on higher education and student affairs administration, and a B.A. in History from UMass Dartmouth. She spent over a decade serving on the UMass Dartmouth Alumni Board of Directors, including serving as President and Vice President. In 2019, Jennifer was awarded the UMass Dartmouth Outstanding Alumni Service Award. Additionally, Jennifer was a leader within the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention – NODA for over a decade, being a regional conference host, annual conference committee member, regional conference committee member, national Small College Network chair. She was awarded the Regional Outstanding Professional Presentation, Regional Outstanding Professional, and the Regional New Professional.

    Dr. Hampton is responsible for providing leadership in support of Strategic and Global Priorities for the institution, and for practices and policies regarding equitable and inclusive student retention and success. The goal is to develop a campus culture and climate where all college members experience a sense of belonging, community, and satisfaction. In addition, Dr. Hampton provides oversight for the International Programs Office, First Year Seminar and the Honors Programs.

  • Elizabeth 'Betty' Hukowicz, Ed.D.

    Dr. Hukowicz was named Dean of the School of Continuing Education and Dean of Student Success in 2021. She previously served as Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, Interim Dean of Enrollment Services, and Chair of the Education Division at Elms College as well as Administrator of Special Education in the public schools. Dr. Hukowicz holds the rank of Full Professor in Education and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in children’s reading and writing for nearly three decades. She taught in the Education Division for 25 years and served as Chair for 13 years. For ten years she participated in the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University, NYC summers and weekends with a focus on children’s writing and the writing workshop process.
