Financial aid from donors makes all the difference when selecting a college. Here, a few senior students offer their words of thanks.
Theophilus “TJ” Jones ’21
Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Major: Management
TJ is using his education at Elms as a stepping stone for a career as an attorney. He intends to open a practice with his brother, Henderson, specializing in personal injury litigation.
His words of thanks to donors?
“Thank you for this blessing and opportunity.”
Emily Huber ’21
Hometown: Jefferson, ME
Major: Communication Sciences and Disorders
Emily has her sights set on earning her master’s in public health after graduation. She wants to specialize in healthcare administration so she can create programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
“Thank you for your contribution to the Elms. Scholarships really help out students like me who want to be a part of the Elms community, whether on campus or out in the world. The amount of relief and encouragement your donations provide for us is inspiring.”
Eddie Helldorfer ’21
Hometown: Brunswick, ME
Major: Management and Accounting
After graduating, Eddie plans on traveling the country to find his niche. He says his business skills will prepare him to work in any type of economy.
“It was a relief to know I could go where I wanted to be, rather than only where I could afford. It’s hard to explain what this scholarship truly means to me and my family, especially growing up with four siblings who are all beginning or finishing their college careers.”
