Blazer Athletic Club
For years, the unofficial slogan of the Elms College Athletic Department has been “What a great time it is to be a Blazer!” From Athletic Director Rob Southall and all the coaches and support staff, and through each student-athlete, it is a sentiment that lives and breathes on the Elms campus.
And now there is a new way for Blazer alumni, and family and friends, no matter how far away, to be involved in the excitement and passion surrounding Elms College athletics. They can now can now support athletics in a very tangible way, through the creation of the Blazer Athletic Club.
Members of the extended Blazer family have always maintained a strong emotional connection to Elms Athletics. The Blazer Athletic Club will allow them to take their pride and passion to a new level, by pledging financial support to solidify the program for new generations of athletes to come. Because once a Blazer, always a Blazer!
The Blazer Athletic Club will bolster athletics programs, above and beyond the Athletic Department budget, and aim to put athletes and teams in the very best position to succeed.
Already, there are great plans underway for Elms Athletics.
We’ve adding Men’s Lacrosse, our 16th varsity sport, and work was recently completed at Cheryl R. Condon Softball Field to install field turf. The college recently installed new artificial turf at Leary Field, the multi-purpose athletic field behind the Maguire Center, and resurfaced the floor of Picknelly Arena, where the basketball and volleyball teams play. Also all facilities were updated with the new Elms College Athletics logo.
All of these improvements and upgrades reflect a desire to continually provide the very best for current and future student-athletes, and insure opportunities for continued success, both on and off the field.
The Blazer Athletic Club is a spark that will ignite the fire of prolonged athletic excellence at Elms College.
And all that is missing is you.
