Elms students Mayeul Geffroy, Alistair Hoffman-Ovens, Stephanie Mildner, and Stephon Ridley represented Elms College at DataFest 2025. DataFest is a 3-day competition that brings students together to gain real-world experience in data analysis. The goal of this program is to allow students to expand their data analysis skills and collaborate with other students with similar interests from around the region.
At the beginning of the competition, students are given their data sets; each team works to analyze the complex data and determine key insights. At the end of the weekend, each group can present their findings. This was an excellent opportunity for our #ElmsBlazers to gain real-world experience and connect with peers who share their passion for data. Thanks to Dr. Beryl Hoffman and Dr. Steve Walsh for empowering our students to join in on this competition.
