What is Bioethics and Medical Humanities?
Bioethics is the application of ethics and morality to the administration of healthcare and biomedical sciences. Medical Humanities takes lessons learned through the study of the humanities – philosophy, religion, history, literature, language, and art, – and applies them to the practice of medicine.
The degree program gives students the skills to understand ethical issues surrounding the delivery of treatment and quality of life, and the ability to see patients as more than just a list of specific symptoms.
