Christie Hoover, MSN, RN, is a nurse educator with extensive experience supporting prelicensure nursing students across classroom, clinical, lab, and online settings. She earned her MSN in Nursing Education (Western Governors University), BSN (Chamberlain College of Nursing), ASN (Goodwin College), and a BA in Journalism (University of Houston), and is currently enrolled in the DNP, Family Nurse Practitioner program at Elms College. Christie currently serves as Assistant Clinical Faculty at Elms College, where she designs and delivers learning activities aligned with course outcomes and coaches students in developing advanced critical thinking for safe patient care and NCLEX success.
She is known for early identification of at-risk learners and for using cooperative, corrective, and student-centered strategies to strengthen clinical judgment and academic performance.
Ms. Hoover also contributed to nursing education as a Virtual ATI Coach and Capstone Educator, guiding diverse RN and LPN students through individualized NCLEX preparation in a fully online format. In that national role, she assessed learner gaps, prescribed tailored remediation, and taught test-plan-driven strategies, using creative and evidence-based approaches to engage varied and ESL populations.
Her teaching is grounded in prior clinical practice as a home-care Nurse Case Manager, where she developed and coordinated individualized care plans, collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, and provided patient and family education.
