Biography

Maryann joined the Department of Nursing in October of 2006 as Operations Coordinator.  She joined academia after nearly twenty years in the property and casualty insurance claims industry as a claims adjuster, supervisor, Home Office Administrative Consultant to the Greater New York, New Jersey Region and HR Consultant/Developmental Coach for the Worcester Claims office. She earned her undergraduate degree at Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts and is an Alumni of Elms College earning a Master’s in Education in 2011

In 2006, the Department of Nursing was poised for growth under the leadership of Dr. Kathleen Scoble.

During her tenure at Elms College, Maryann has witness the evolution of Elms Nursing first hand with the growth of the Undergraduate Pre-Licensure Program, the addition of the Accelerated Second Degree Program, changes to the RN-BS , the addition of the Masters of Science in Nursing Programs , the department becoming a division , the addition of the first doctoral program in the college ( Doctor of Nursing Practice), Nursing becoming the first School and Dr. Kathleen Scoble becoming the first Dean of the School of Nursing in 2013.
